General Info

This page documents the various procedures specific to the Buffalo Linkstation Pro variants known as lspro within the foonas distributions. This platform is unable to support a flash based installation of anything other than u-boot, hence it is not possible to flash foonas-em or foonas-iscsi onto it.

ARM based linkstations are supplied with an EABI 2.6 linux kernel and operating system.

Installation Requirements

Serial port required for boot loader configuration.

Platform Specific Issues

Currently there are issues with the XFS file system. You should backup your data and use a different file system instead.

The kernel in development for this platform may perform slower for NAS usage than the stock one.
